PARK ORIGINS.
The Serengeti National Park, or Serengeti Park, or just Serengeti, was founded to prevent depopulation of lions which were Hunted. In 1921 the British colonial administration in Tanzania apportioned around 3.2 Square Kilometers of the plain as a partial Game Reserve, the year 1929 the Administration declared Serengeti as a full game reserve. In 1951 the Game Reserve was declared to be National Park. 1981 the Park was announced as a Unesco World Heritage Site

The Migration starts around January to March which is rain season at Southern Serengeti, along with being the rainy season, it is also the breeding season whereby Over 500,000 Calves will be Born in this Time.
Around July, animals will start to cross the Grumeti and Mara rivers in July. Early August Wildbests and their “accompany” will start to arrive in Masai Mara National park, where they will stay until November when the Rain will start again in the Southern plains, this season will bring Animals back again!. This circle covers over 1000 kilometres each year.
