Day 1. Arrival at Kigali

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, You will be welcomed by Vianney’s untamed Expeditions  representative  who will brief you about your trip then be transferred to your hotel for  Dinner and overnight stay- bed and breakfast

Day 2:  City tour and Gorilla Trekking in volcanoes national Park

Today, after having a relaxed breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will head for Kigali city tour, with a visit at Belgium museum, where 10 Belgium Peace Keepers, who were the victims of the genocide were laid to rest and later proceed to Kigali genocide memorial ground, were over 250,000 victims of the 1994, Rwandan genocide, were given a decent burial in a mass grave. After the visit you will head for lunch, before driving off to Musanze, which is roughly 2 hour’s drive from Kigali. If time permit you will go for an afternoon Canoeing in Musanze near Volcanoes national Park.

Day 3: Ultimate Gorilla Trekking Experience

Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the gorilla trekking briefing from the park headquarters and thereafter, you will enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required, If you are not fit enough our guide work closely with Volcanoes NP Warden to give you a Gorilla family that match your fitness.

Hiking in a Comfortable walking shoes is a must, packed food and mineral water will be provided as well though don’t forget your insect repellent, sun screen , gloves and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience you will return to your lodge for lunch as you relax. In the afternoon, you will enjoy the traditional performance at Gorilla Guadian Village.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trekking Experience

On this day, after your morning breakfast you will be transferred to Volcanoes Headquarters for Briefing and Gorilla Group allocation, then grab coffee and go for gorilla trekking briefing from the park ranger Guide and thereafter, you will enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. Remember every day has it’s own experience, After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take many pictures. After your Visit go back to your lodge for Lunch as you enjoy the foot massage and spa for those who are interested.

You will as be able to visit The Ellen DeGeneres Campusof the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Known as Future for Gorillas.

For more than 50 years, the Fossey Fund has been working to help conserve wild Mountain gorilla populations and support the people who share their forest home. They started with two tents that their founder, Dian Fossey, erected in the forest in 1967. The organization grew over the years, from one person in the forest to a staff of more than 250. Since the mid-1990s, they have been working out of a rented space far from the gorilla habitat and the communities they serve. With only a single classroom and a kitchen converted into a laboratory,

They were in need a home that could meet their increasing size and workload. In 2017, the year of our 50th anniversary, board of directors made the strategic decision to move forward on our ambitious, 20-year dream to create a purpose-built facility in East Africa aimed at accelerating our scienceand conservation work. Within months of this decision, they were fortunateto receive a lead gift from television personality Ellen DeGeneres and work on the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund began. Since that time, thousands of donors, large and small, have supported the project and helped us to create a state-of-the-art research and learning facility—our first permanent home in Rwanda, which opened its doors in early 2022..

Day 5: Golden monkey tracking & transfer to Kigali

After your morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park head quarter for golden monkey trek procedures, just like the gorilla trekking. You will have time with the golden monkeys, before you return and drive to your lodge, for lunch and refreshment, thereafter, hit the road to Kigali for your evening flights. If time permit you can head for a brief city tour for some shopping where you may be able to pay a visit at Kimironko local market then later drop off at the airport as you mark an end of your 5 days in Rwanda?

END OF THE TOUR

BOOKING CONDITIONS AND PAYMENT

A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of a 40% deposit to our bank account. Only the amount received by our bank account shall be regarded as paid (with all money transfer costs paid by the customer). The remaining balance is due 45 days before your departure date. If your reservation is made within 45 days of departure, the entire amount must be paid at the time of confirmation.

Although if a client is unable to pay the entire amount at the due date, we will do our best to provide an alternative option

BOOKING ALTERATIONS

For alterations of existing bookings done by the client (e.g. air tickets, departure dates, number of participants, accommodation etc.) a handling fee of 80 USD per booking applies. The handling fee will be charged on top of the service provider fees.

CHILDREN POLICY

Children between the age of 3 and 12 years will pay 50-75% of the adult rate if occupying a room with two adults.

Pay 75% of the adult rate if occupying a room with another child.

Pay 100% of the adult rates if occupying a room with one adult

CANCELLETION

Any cancellation of a reservation must be in writing, either by e-mail or fax and shall only be effective upon its receipt and acknowledgement by Vianney’s Untamed Expeditions. Thus, reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in the number of occupancies are subject to cancellation and no-show fees. The following scale of cancellation charges will be applicable, depending on the day before the departure of the tour when the cancellation notice is received.

25% if cancelled up to 30 days prior to arrival.

50% if cancelled between 30 and 15 days prior to arrival

100% if cancelled within 14 days or in the case of a ‘No Show.’

If the cancellation case is discussed earlier, we will do our best to render our support. We understand that things can happen and will try to resolve any problems that are brought to our consideration.

RISK

The client accepts that all tours are of an adventurous nature and involve an element of personal risk. Neither the Company nor any of its agents can be held responsible in any way for any injury, loss of life or damage to property, howsoever caused. The client therefore insures will hold the Company, its agent, assigns and servants harmless from any such claim. The client accepts full responsibility for all risks involved.

AUTHORITY ON TOUR

The decisions of the Company´s guide/driver on tour shall at all times be ultimate and binding. The client must at all times conform to the laws, customs and foreign exchange regulations of all countries visited.

MARKETING

The Company reserves the right to use any videos and photographs taken during tours for marketing or any other advertising purposed. Hence the client gives consent to use such photographs and authorizes the Company to retain copyright for these photographs and such material.

ITINERARY CHANGES

We reserve the right to re-arrange the itinerary or amend the arrangements of any tour in case of unanticipated hostile circumstances beyond our control; although efforts will be made to adhere to the original program.

FORCE MAJEUR

Unanticipated circumstances including but not limited to mechanical breakdowns, weather, war, riots and other unpredictable circumstances above the control of the Company may cause Interruptions or alterations to the tour. The Company shall not be held responsible in any way for any of these possible occurrences or any consequences, which may arise as a result of these.

SCAMS

Please note that if you receive an email from someone asking you to send them moneys via Money Gram or Western Union, this is an email hacking scam. Vianney’s Untamed Expeditions does not accept payments from customers via Western Union or Money Gram.
